With Younger’s big move from TVLand to Paramount Network ahead of its sixth season (Update: It’s staying on TVLand!), you may have seen more ads for the lesser-known show. The show with an all-star cast and an extremely relevant plot is one of the sexiest comedies on television. It’s full of sexual tension and erotic fantasies, all while teaching people how to be themselves in the 21st century. If you’re looking to binge the Darren Star-created show before its season premiere, head to Hulu. Until then, meet Younger’s drop-dead gorgeous cast:
SUTTON FOSTER AS LIZA MILLER
Broadway beauty Sutton Foster stars as the main character Liza Miller, a 40-somethng mom trying to get back in the publishing business. In case you didn’t know, we live in an ageist society, so she has a hard time finding a place to work. Instead of returning to her New Jersey roots, she moves to Brooklyn and fudges her age a little bit. OK, maybe by 15 years. But, hey, it lands her a job, so that’s good right?
NICO TORTORELLA AS JOSH
We meet Josh (played by the ever-fabulous Nico Tortorella) that very first episode, and he helps her develop Liza’s persona. He mistakes her for a 26-year-old, which she just goes along with. She’s never going to see this guy again, so she might as well lie. Well, as shows like this normally go, they start seeing each other. It seems doomed from the beginning, but Josh is the perfect person for Liza, until…
PETER HERMANN AS CHARLES BROOKS
…her boss comes into the picture. Charles Brooks (the sexy, smoldering Peter Hermann takes on this role) is successful, a total DILF and more importantly age-appropriate. On the outside, Charles seems like the safe, boring choice, but the tension between the characters adds a continued sultriness to the show that will have you feeling a certain kind of way. (At one point, he zips up her dress, and it is hands-down the sexiest moment of the show’s six seasons, which is a tall order.)
HILARY DUFF AS KELSEY PETERS
Former Disney star Hilary Duff stars as Liza’s fierce coworker/best friend, Kelsey Peters, a badass woman making power moves in her late 20s. Kelsey is Liza’s gateway to the millennial world, which gives way the most iconic scenes. Oh, and you will be completely envious of all the designer clothing Duff gets to wear. We would seriously love to raid Kelsey’s closet.
MIRIAM SHORR AS DIANA TROUT
On the polar end of the coworker spectrum is the high-strung Diana Trout, who serves as the head of marketing and Liza’s boss. Miriam Shorr portrays the 40-year-old who is tired of millennials well. Every scene she is in will have you laughing until your stomach hurts.
DEBI MAZAR AS MAGGIE
The delightful Debi Mazar plays Liza’s best friend and roommate Maggie. She is a once-popular lesbian artist with a strong personality. Maggie doesn’t take any shit, but she’s still the kind-hearted roommate any leading lady in a sitcom needs.
MOLLY BERNARD AS LAUREN HELLER
Lauren Heller is a one-of-a-kind character who embraces her sexuality and isn’t afraid to be herself. Molly Bernard plays the wonderfully cooky character with a comedic flare that everyone should envy. Lauren will have you rethinking social norms while laughing at her ridiculous antics.
CHARLES MICHAEL DAVIS AS ZANE ANDERS
Charles Michael Davis was upped to a series regular in season five as love interest and corporate competitor to Kelsey, Zane Anders. Zane’s charming persona seeps through the screen and makes you wonder why Kelsey has problems with him. He is a gorgeous metrosexual with hidden facets to his personality. Zane is the epitome of tall, dark and handsome, which is yet another reason to latch on to this sexy show.
