We’re Addicted To Camila
The Sexy Singer's Love Is Intoxicating
Fresh off the release of her debut solo album, Camila Cabello just dropped the music video for her new single, “Never Be The Same” and it’s a hot one! The 21-year-old singer draws viewers in with a few intimate moments, before dropping pure sex and fashion on YouTube.
It starts with iPhone home movies of Cabello flirting with her viewers, as she plays around with the curious cameraman in a messy hotel room. While it’s unclear who the gentleman is behind the camera, it’s rumored that it just might be her new romantic interest, British author Matthew Hussey. Nevertheless, the music video shares a bit of a Cabello in a deeply relaxed and loose manner.
Directed by Grant Singer, the music video then shifts to Cabello in a series of expressive—and outlandish—couture, and then to nakedness, as she emerges from water. While the music video seems like a whirlwind of visuals and styles, it ends with Cabello back in the intimate hotel room, under the gaze of her lover.
The song is a look at newly romantic relationships and how new partners quickly become like drugs. They get high off their love and affection, as the two lovers become addicted to each other. And as the song title suggests, we’ll “Never Be The Same” after being with Camila Cabello, or simply listening to her new single.
“Blurring all the lines, you intoxicate me
Just like nicotine, heroin, morphine
Suddenly, I’m a fiend and you’re all I need
All I need, yeah, you’re all I need.”
In February, Cabello announced her first ever solo headlining tour, which kicks off this April. She’s also expected to be the opening act for Taylor Swift’s Reputation tour later this year. It’s looking like it’s going to be quite the 2018 for Camila Cabello.
