Coachella Lineup 2019
Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande will headline the California music festival.
Get your tankinis and flower crowns ready because the official lineup for Coachella was announced Friday.
The two weekend spectacular will include headliners Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande. The headlining spots offer a taste of different genres. R&B/funk/rap artist Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover aka overall amazing entertainer and boss) will take the Friday spots on April 12 and 19. Psychedelic rock band Tame Impala — which is said to be dropping new music this year — will take over the stage April 13 and 20. And literal pop goddess Ariana Grande will close out the music festival April 14 and 21.
If that wasn’t enough to get your blood pumping (and your bank account screaming), the many, many, many openers on various stages will enhance any concert-goers experience.
Janelle Monáe, the 1975 and Diplo are among the top Friday opening slots. Other performers on Friday include Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals, Kacey Musgraves, Ella Mai and Jaden Smith.
Though we don’t get Beyonce this year, her sister Solange will perform on the two Saturdays. She will join the likes of Kid Cudi, J Balvin, Weezer, Billie Eilish, Christine and the Queens, Bazzi, Maggie Rogers and Idris Elba, who evidently is a DJ.
Khalid, Zedd, Bad Bunny, H.E.R. and Pusha T will open for Grande at the Empire Polo Club in the deserts of Indio, California.
The lineup will surely bring a lot of the A-list celebrities who usually attend, and those people will undoubtedly bless all of our timelines with the hottest fashion. The barrage of Instagram posts that will follow will make those who don’t go envious, but at least we can all live vicariously through them.
