Sexiest Actors of Gringo
Theron, Oyelowo, Seyfried, and More!
One of the most exciting movies of March is Gringo, a new film about the marijuana industry and how its legal and illegal elements can cross over in a hail of violent gunfire. This isn’t a hard-boiled drama, though; Gringo is a zany action/comedy satire.
Of course, no major Hollywood motion picture is complete without a smattering of big-name stars, and, in this respect, Gringo delivers. Check out the sexy stars (and hunky director) of Amazon’s latest feature.
While something on an ensemble piece, the undisputed star of the film is David Oyelowo, a naive desk jockey who unwittingly ends up on an odyssey through the seedy underbelly of Mexico’s drug trade. Best known for his role as Martin Luther King in Ava Duvernay’s Selma, Oyelowo is one of the hottest and most in-demand actors working today. He can also be seen in Netflix’s The Cloverfield Paradox.
What more can be said about Charlize Theron that hasn’t already been said? She’s one of the all-time sex bombs, right up there with Marilyn Monroe and Jane Fonda. She’s starred in numerous high-octane action movies, from Mad Max: Fury Road to Atomic Blonde, in addition to more low-key dramas like Monster (for which she won an Oscar) and the upcoming Tully, written by Diablo Cody and directed by Jason Reitman.
For a while, Joel Edgerton was best-known for his minor supporting role in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, in which he played a young Owen Lars, but he truly broke out with his game-changing role in the MMA sports drama, Warrior, which saw him go toe-to-toe with his own brother (Tom Hardy) in the octagon. His viscerally physical performance turned heads in Hollywood and he instantly became a certified A-lister. In addition to Gringo, Edgerton also stars in Red Sparrow, where he shares a number of steamy scenes with Jennifer Lawrence.
To put it simply, Amanda Seyfried is “cute as a button.” From Mean Girls to Mama Mia, Seyfried has always been totally adorable, and we absolutely have a crush on her gigantic green eyes and our hearts just melt when she flashes her legendary smile.
After Gringo, she’ll next be seen in the upcoming prequel/sequel, Mama Mia: Here We Go Again.
Thandie Newton is best known for her role on HBO’s Westworld series, and she’s already a huge star thanks to movies like Mission: Impossible II, Crash, and W., but her popularity is about to explode thanks to her upcoming appearance in the Star Wars spinoff, Solo, alongside Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, and Woody Harrelson. The action-adventure is sure to be one of the highest-grossing movies of 2018.
Finally, the director of Gringo is a total hottie himself. Nash Edgerton (older brother to Joel) has been directing for years, but he’s best known for his stunt work on big budget blockbusters like Superman Returns, Knight and Day, and The Equalizer. Interestingly, alongside Thandie and Joel, Nash also has a Star Wars connection, since he was Ewan McGregor’s stunt double on Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
Gringo hits theaters on March 9.
