What Matters: Prada

Spring/Summer 2017 women’s fashion show in Milan

“It’s an elegance that’s a little bit wrong, coherent with modern life and it’s contradictions, the good and the bad,” says designer Miuccia Prada about her manga-bourgeois looks for the spring, full of feathers and boas and comfortable, fanciful shoes. The models walked the Milan runway as fragments from Past Forward, a short film by David O. Russell made in collaboration with Prada, was screened behind them. “The idea came from an obsession for women of different races, all very feminine, with a love for the things that matter in life—love or fear in relationships.”
