Moralioglu meets H&M
Baz Luhrmann directs Secret Life of Flowers
As the winter equinox approaches, what better time then to dream of spring?
It’s always April, it seems, for clothing designer Erdem Moralioglu, whose floral prints are as ubiquitous as the beautiful models wearing them. In his new collaboration with H&M, the designer has created a gorgeous line of gender-fluid suits, dresses, jackets, and accessories, fit for young, hot British royalty.
To capture the spirit and utter joy of the new line, one of the most visual directors in the world has been hired to create the short film, The Secret Life of Flowers, featuring young actors and models wearing the botanical motifs. Baz Luhrmann, who has given us such painterly movies as Moulin Rogue, The Great Gatsby, and Romeo + Juliet, invites a group of PYTs, not to mention a rather dominating motherly type, Lady DeMeer (Dame Harriet Walter) to play in Reddham Gardens, a mysterious mansion where “it’s always spring.”
The dreamy, luscious film stars Tom Rhys Harries, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and Ruby Dagnall as a sexy ménage a trois, dressed to seduce and enjoy life in full bloom.
You can go online to HM.com to see Moralioglu‘s full bouquet but sadly the entire line is already sold out. Hopefully he’ll bring us another selection in Spring 2018.
