Gaga: Five Foot Two
A new doc reveals the real Mother Monster
Lady Gaga is one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, and Netflix is gearing up to dive deep into the mind of one of the most prolific artists of the 21st century.
Gaga: Five Foot Two is a new documentary about Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, better known to her millions of fans—her Monsters—as Lady Gaga. The hour-long film follows the creation of her latest album, Joanne, as well as Gaga’s performance at the Superbowl Halftime Show on February 5, 2017.
Gaga is entering a new phase in her career, shifting from a Madonna-lite queen of her rabid fanbase to a more introspective, emotionally open pop culture figure. The film looks to explore the disparity between the Gaga we see on stage and the behind-the-scenes woman responsible for the art… Kind of like Madonna: Truth or Dare. Like Madonna, Gaga aims to establish herself as more than just a provocateur, but a multi-faceted artist with an unmistakably human heart at her core.
Gaga: Five Foot Two debuts September 22 on Netflix.
