Wings of Love

Lykke Li's supergoup strips down

BY: Michael Perris and Liz MacDonald

Liv is the supergroup brainchild of Lykke Li, Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt and Pontus Winnberg, PB&J’s Yttling, and producer Jeff Bhasker. “Wings of Love” is not only their first single, but also the brilliant directorial debut of Lykke Li. It’s a sweet homage to the band’s Swedish roots, like a sexy visit to a 70’s Swedish nudist camp that you’ll never want to leave. Liv translates as “life” in Swedish and you can feel the euphoria in “Wings of Love.” A debut album from Liv is expected soon. Says Li, “Keep checking us out because we’re gonna come with new things, in a continued stream of consciousness.” You can watch the video, above (watch for intercut art from painter Malin Gabriella Nordin).
